Hello! My brother recently had a birthday, which I helped set up. Of course, he wanted Minecraft. Get this, throughout the whole party, not one iPad, iPhone, iPod, Laptop, Xbox, computer, Wii, etc. was touched! That's right, no video games! Recently, people have been doing a lot of Miecraft themed birthday parties, so I just thought I'd contribute to it all!
For this party, we made our goodie bags look like the faces of creepers. I used green paper bags, brown construction paper, a ruler, scissors, a pencil, and glue to make this.
Start out with the brown construction paper. Trace the mouth and eyes onto the paper (use the ruler for straight lines). Cut them out and glue them onto the green paper bag.

Next, goodie bag goodies! These children weren't very old, so we got them so simple, easy gifts that aren't plastic-useless toys (like most goodies are). They got a bubble wand, a bag of chocolate shaped carrots (to represent carrots from minecraft), and a notepad for on-the-go hang man!
At the party, we had a prize table for one of our games. I don't have pictures from this game, but it is pretty straight forward. We hid Easter eggs around the house and sent them on an Easter egg hunt. But it doesn't end there. There were probably 60 Easter eggs of 5 different colors. Around the yard were matching colored groups of balloons (i.e. blue eggs-blue group of balloons). This next part is dangerous and should be monitored; we stuck toothpicks in the bullets of Nerf guns for them to shoot the balloons with. If they hit the balloon and it popped we took part of that balloon and put it in their empty Easter egg. Each egg was worth three shots, if they popped the balloon on their second or third try then they'd used up their other shots. After every kid had finished, they went inside for prizes!!!
Hope that this helps you out! Oh, I almost forgot! Something that is challenging but a fun thing to bring home are these paper minecraft things that you fold into shapes to represent the grass blocks and animals! Here are some examples:
This can really be used for any birthday party. I hope that this will help anyone out there who wants to throw a minecraft birthday party!
Sincerely,
Anne ❤
