Ah...I need to go have another one before I continue this post.
Just look at that melting cheese...the gooey ham...the crunchy crust...all the flavors in one little perfect package.
After scavenging through my freezer for something to bake with, I found a package of puff pastry. Then I checked the fridge-I saw some cheese, a couple of slices of ham. Voila-this recipe was born.

Ingredients:
Instructions:
- 1/2 sheet frozen puff pastry, thawed
- All purpose flour, for dusting
- Grated Parmesan cheese
- Thin slices of cheese of your choice (I used Mozzarella cheese)
- 2 slices of ham
- 2 tablespoons butter, melted
Instructions:
- Preheat oven to 400 degrees F. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- Roll out the thawed puff pastry on a floured surface.
- Place two slices of ham on the puff pastry. Place thin slices of cheese on top of the ham. Sprinkle grated parmesan cheese on top.
- Starting on the short end of the dough, roll up the puff pastry like a jelly roll. Slice into 1/2 inch pieces and place on baking sheet spread 1 inch apart.
- Spread melted butter on top of each pinwheel. Sprinkle a dash of grated parmesan cheese on top.
- Bake in the oven until golden and puffed, about 15 to 20 minutes. Let cool before serving.
This is literally the best snack I have ever had. Words can't describe how good this stuff is...I'm gonna go have more.
Enjoy,
Melissa
